Twice in One Month

Two blog posts in one month. My fans must be as excited as the throngs of Harry Potter fans lining up to see Part One of the Last Part of the series.

Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Those people who get paid on production, rather than just by the hour, are furiously working their fingers to the bone to get a bit ahead so they're not penalized by the short week.

2010 can now be considered over, for all practical purposes. Hope it was good for you.

I'll shoot for three posts in December, and maybe I'll have more relevant content. I'm constantly barraged by my readers who want more in-depth exploration into the nuances of BG life, so maybe I'll get to work.

As always, leave a comment. That coveted "1st comment ever" position is still available, you know.

Excuse Me, I Got Sidetracked.

The outcry has been deafening! That must be the case since I’ve not heard any outcry.

My plan has once again been thwarted. The forces of evil have conspired to prohibit my blogging, but I have fought through on this day to fulfill my moral blogging obligation.

We had an election in BG. Commission-wise it went as I predicted, other than I didn’t expect Joe Denning to garner the most votes.

Doc Kaelin held onto his magistrate seat by soundly trouncing Kevin Steen. Richard Morgan’s write-in campaign to try to hold onto his position on fiscal court was humiliated by Dan Rudloff.

Mike Buchanon and Peanuts Gaines continued their dominance.

Rand Paul slammed the door on poor Jack Conway. There are many theories as to why Paul was able to produce such a definitive victory, but I have my own opinion. I think Paul had the ugly vote. Conway just looks like that Mr. Popular guy everybody went to high school with and everybody secretly hated. Paul looks like the geeky wimpy guy that got seated on the couch in “Animal House,” and that’s who people can identify with. So that’s who they voted for. Just my opinion, but it’s right.

I’ll try to get back to this sooner than six months from now. And please, if anybody should accidentally stumble onto this blog, leave some kind of comment. According to my stats, nobody has ever been here, so you’ll be the first.

Where Have I Been?

OK. It's been a few months. So sue me.

Lots to talk about in and around BG - the Flood of '10, Commissioners in the Park, and politics, just to get started.

Since nobody has ever visited my blog, I know I'm not disappointing anybody by going slow here. So I'll come back and write some really interesting stuff later, I promise.

If somebody should stumble on this blog, how about leaving a comment?

I'll try to post again within the month. And it'll be interesting. Really.

Long Time Dormant

A few years back I had this great idea to blog about general happenings around Bowling Green, Kentucky. I see and hear a bunch of stuff, so I thought I'd spend a good bit of time spouting off right here in my own blog universe.

Oops.

I set it up, then forgot about it for a few years.

Maybe I'll do it now. Maybe not.

Either way, thanks for stopping by. If you come back again, maybe I'll have some good dirt up.
